preparation Lounge Alitalia, PalaInfiniti di Cortina d’Ampezzo, 2010

Project Architect: Marco Colonnelli
Project Tem: Giorgia Monti, Michele Alessandrini

The Alitalia preparation, at PalaInfiniti in Cortina d’Ampezzo, wants to re-create the same comfortable and elegant environment you can experience in any of Alitalia VIP lounge around the world. The space is part of the “Cortina meets the world” event which is one of the most important cultural appointments over the Summer months of July and August. The design involves a new oak wooden slats floating floor supported by a satin  steel structure, an oak wood panelling to the walls and green lacquered finish partitions. A T shaped tempered laminated double glass pane in orange colour features in the area's left hand side. This T shaped element was made self supporting through the insert of a metal profile strengthening the glass top and bottom ends.

The back-lit counter for the check-in operations will be installed just opposite the main entrance. The new counter design will replicate the Alitalia CFA typical counters. Three wall mounted lacquered finish tables with a satin stainless steel pedestal will also be fitted. Six leather armchairs by Domodinamica complete the furniture proposal. Four wall mounted light boxes in a shape of a porthole and three table lamps were added to the existing lighting system.
